The day began with a glassy lake, but the southerly quickly filled in and became a strong, shifty, 15 knots gusting to 20.
All the sailors worked hard in the tough conditions. After three boats capsized at once a race was abandoned for B-fleet, and we were postponed on land until sailors and RC could safely start racing again.
Most boats capsized at some point throughout the day, and we're grateful for our alumni RC who made it possible for us all to be out there safely.
Windier than Saturday, the southerly built to 18 knots gusting 25. The airstrip funneled puffs down course right and the sea state varied from large waves to chop.
Capsizes were common all day, and a race was abandoned for B-fleet due to five simultaneous capsizes at 11:15am. After an on shore postponement races began again at 12.
Tougher conditions than Saturday made for a challenging but rewarding Frosh/Soph.
Huge thanks to our volunteer RC for their hard work setting courses and driving safety boats.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
