Pere Marquette

Summary

Saturday, September 29:

The morning started out with sunshine and a lot of drifting around the breakwater waiting for breeze to fill in. The Race Committee ultimately made the call to tow boats out into the lake in search of better air. Races finally got going a bit before noon as the somewhat shifty and inconsistent breeze filled in. Also accompanied by overcast skies and colder air, the competitors did an excellent job dealing with the tricky conditions. We were able to get off 4 races in each division before the wind started dying again during the last B set. We would like to extend a big thank you to our PRO Willie Rozanski and Mark-set driver Sam House for attempting to conquer the tricky conditions out there today.

Sunday, September 30:

Sunday brought more overcast skies and threatened sailors with rain that thankfully never came. Luckily, the breeze was up and much more consistent than the day before. Race Committee was able to successfully get off another 4 races in each division before the time limit and get the competitors off the water by about 2pm.

We had a lot of tight competitive racing between all 13 teams out there. Thanks to all the teams for coming for a solid weekend of racing in Milwaukee, even though Wisco hogged the spotlight during the award ceremony. And thanks again to our adult volunteers and the assistance from the Milwaukee Yacht Club, we couldn't host this event without their help. We would like to also congratulate all the teams who qualified for the MCSA Fall Champs this weekend! Sail Fast, Live Slow.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
