Harry H. Anderson Jr. Regatta

Summary

Saturday, September 8:

Great Northeastly all day today. 19 races were completed leaving six more A division races and seven more B division races. Most of the day we sailed W4 courses and when sailing in for lunch and for the end of they day we sailed W3's. Early on the breeze was 8-15 and by the time 5pm rolled around it had diminished to about 2 knots. No protests or breakdowns were reported or filed. The top four teams are very tight. Sunday looks fantastic!

Sunday, September 9:

Divisions swapped fleets and began racing at 10:10am. Again all courses were W3's and W4's in a Northeasterly breeze ranging from 6-12 knots. The remainder of the rotation was completed at 2pm. All coaches were on the water because of the generosity of the Niantic Bay Sailing Academy and Julie Wilson. One breakdown was filed and granted for a broken hiking strap line, which did not change the final outcome of the regatta. One team RAF. And no one hit half tide rock today!! And many thanks to the land crew of the URI Rams who were quick to help haul the boats as they hit the ramp:). Also thanks go out to our judgi=e crew of Caleb Dorfman, Claire Huebner and KB Knapp. This is also the first year awarding the new "Boola" trophy which was first won in 1902 in an Intercollegiate event on April 30th by the Yacht Boola.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
