Salt Pond Invite

Summary

Saturday, September 23:

Great day of sailing on Salt Pond with strong northerlies in the morning diminishing all day. Several capsizes early and some collisions. PRO Bob Hicks (URI '70) with assistance from Mike Dunleavy, scorer Sarah Morin and a bunch of other URI undergrads kept things moving. 3 race sets were employed with no rotation to speed things up. Race 1A had to be abandoned due to a conflict between the sailing instructions and an announcement during the competitor's meeting. As a result 5A and 6B races were sailed and scored. Many thanks to Doug Clark for acting as NEISA rep. Sacred Heart was a no show.

Sunday, September 24:

2 A division races and 1 B division race were completed in a E, shifting S breeze on Salt Pond.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
