NY Maritime Fall Open

Summary

Saturday, September 19:

This morning teams were met with typical early fall conditions on the east river. Light winds and lots of current delayed the start of racing until noon.

Breeze filled nicely in the afternoon and 6 races were completed in each division with winds 5-10 kts out of the south.

The George Washington University colonials lead the regatta after day 1 with a narrow lead over the home team.

Thanks to the great team of SUNY Maritime sailors for running great races all day.

Sunday, September 20:

Strong northerlies on Long Island Sound today. The slightly sheltered East River saw a shifty 6-12kt. Northerly.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
