War Memorial

Summary

Saturday, November 1:

Day 1 at the War Memorial MAISA sailors were greeted with a blustery NNE breeze from 10-20kts. The first race started promptly at 0945 sailed 8 races in A division and 6 races in B division. Courses were W4's all day.

3 protests were heard all were disallowed and 2 breakdown's were granted. Thanks to Morgan Wilson, Erik Reynolds and Mike Callahan for hearing the protests.

The Georgetown Hoyas lead going into tomorrow.

Thanks to PRO Erik Reynolds, Judge Morgan Wilson, Shore Manager Rob Crafa, and all of the SUNY undergrads for running great races all day!

Sunday, November 2:

The wind was howling sunday morning on the East River when teams showed up to SUNY Maritime for day 2 of the War Memorial. After hours of wind delay the breeze finally backed off enough to get 2 B races off before the 3pm cutoff.

Thanks so much to PRO Erik Reynolds, Judge Morgan Wilson, Rob Crafa and the whole SUNY Maritime undergrads for running awesome races in tough conditions all weekend.

Congratulations to the Georgetown Hoyas for winning the War Memorial, and congrats to the 7 teams that will be representing MAISA at ACC's in 2 weeks.
