President's Trophy

Summary

Saturday, September 27:

The day began with a light NW breeze which showed no promise. Westerly puffs and Southerly puffs appeared on the Charles River over the course of the day. But no wind was ever stable enough to race in. Racing was cancelled at 1400.

Thank you to Reed Lorimer (BU '18) and Lily Lichtenstein (BU '18) for volunteering to help with the event today.

Sunday, September 28:

A beautiful, still Boston morning greeted the competitors in the Boston University President's Trophy. A Light Westerly wind began to appear around 11:15, and the fleet was sent down the river. Three races in each division were held in a West wind ranging from 2 - 7 knots. Some wind shifts were very long, and the conditions were challenging.

Congratulations to Yale University for their victory. Thank you to Ravi Parent (BU '18) and Caroline Salas (BU '18) for assisting with race committee duties.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
