MAISA Club Championships

Summary

Saturday, November 5:

Sailors arrived at Morris Yacht Club this morning and were greeted with cold temperatures in the mid 30s. Racing began at 9:30 in a 10 knot Northerly that slowly went right to the East and died throughout the day. 4 races were completed in each division before the breeze tapered off at 2:30. Sailors waited patiently until 3:45 before racing was cancelled for the day. No protests and no breakdowns were filed. First race is scheduled for 9:20 tomorrow.

The University of Pennsylvania leads with UVA and Stevens close behind.

Sunday, November 6:

Sunday began with a short wind delay but an unforecasted westerly filled in at 9:45 and racing began at shortly afterward at 10:00. We were able to complete 5 races in each division before the 3 o’clock time limit in a 10-knot westerly that trended left to the southwest as the day progressed. 9A and 9B races were completed for the regatta. No protests or breakdowns were filed. American received a team penalty for not having pinnies and Queens received a team penalty for not having a team rep on their RP forms. Salisbury was a no show.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
