MCSA Team Race Championship

The MCSA Team Race Championship was held at Columbia Yacht Club in Chicago on the waters of Lake Michigan. The sailors had a great day of sailing with the wind shifting from Northeast to North throughout the day with a steady breeze between 5 and 10 knots. We were able to complete 2 full round-robins, as well as 2 play-off rounds with the top 4 teams. After the 4 rounds, University of Wisconsin and University of Michigan were tied, so they went into a sail-off where Michigan won with 1-3-5. Congratulations to both teams in qualifying for nationals and best of luck to them both. We owe a large thanks to Columbia Yacht Club and Kurt Thomsen for supplying boats and a venue for this event, Olof Anderson for serving as our PRO, Hans Graf for serving as our head umpire, as well as all the umpires who came out to help run this successful event.

No races were sailed on Sunday as all necessary rounds were finished Saturday
