2015 Match Race PCCSC Championship

Summary

Saturday, October 31:

A nice day of match racing on San Francisco Bay! A round and a most of the second round was sailed. Good close racing for most of the matches. Racing was sailed on a windward/ Leeward courses with breeze building all day to 18kts from the WNW. Tomorrow the plan is to finish the 2nd round and finish a third round as well.

Sunday, November 1:

Sunday was almost a carbon copy of Saturday but a little less breezy. We were delayed for about 20mins and then the breeze filled from the NW and was a beautiful 10-12 kts. We finished the 2nd round and completed the third round just in time for the 5pm deadline.

A big thank you to our Umpires: John Christman (CHUMP), Nicole Breault, Bruce Stone, Molly Carapiet, Tom Roberts, and Anders Otto. The Umpires were great!

Congratulations to UCSB winning the tie break over Stanford to earn the berth to nationals. The racing was tight and a ton of fun. Skipper Chris Weis, Harrison Vandervort, and Alex Ivory.
