32nd Professor Stedman Hood Trophy

Summary

Saturday, September 27:

One Race was attempted but abandoned at the gate when the wind died. Racing was postponed for the day at 1:45 when it was clear from nearby venues that there would not be enough wind to race.

Sunday, September 28:

Still light but raceable by 10:30 with SSE 5 and steady. So much for steady; at the end of 2A the wind went West, then shifted between SW and WNW the rest of the day. With some patience and a few races abandoned just prior to the start, four races in each division were completed by 2:45.

Thanks to alums Cameron Barclift and Eliza White for helping Saturday with Reid Van Gorder and Steve Braverman on Sunday for helping out. Several undergrads did scoring and dock duty as well.

Congrats to BU for winning A, Harvard for winning B, and Tufts for the overall victory.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
