Bowdoin Women's Invitational

Summary

Saturday, October 4:

Seven teams arrived at the new Leighton Sailing Center for the Bowdoin Women's Invitation. The racing began in a light NE breeze that shifted to the east. 10 races were completed with all the races being W-4s. A big thanks to Phil Koch '16, Louis Frumer '18, Chester Jacobs '17, Alex Vasiliou '18, Ellis Price '18, Nora Cullen '18, and Hunter Moeller '17 for helping move marks and run races.

Four more races are scheduled for tomorrow. The Polar Bears have a comfortable lead with BU and Tufts rounding out the top 3.

Sunday, October 5:

Day two of the Bowdoin Women's Invited Started with a strong southerly breeze with waves but things quickly settled down when the breeze shifted to the west. Four more races were sailed. A big thanks to Martie Ogle '18 and Jake Griffin '18 for helping with RC duties. Congrats to the Polar Bears by winning the event by 56 points.
