SMC Fall Interconference

Summary

Saturday, September 28:

Twelve races completed in shifty Northerly breezes from 4-7 knots. PRO Mike Kuschner did a fabulous job keeping the outer and inner trapezoid's square. Coach Ken would have been pleased with the use of a small Zodiac as the pin end of the starting line. A division started in FJ's and B in 420's. Divisional switch took place after 9 races.

One protest was heard and disallowed. There were no breakdowns, but one bow was badly damaged as a sailor wasn't paying attention and hit a piling coming in for a lunch break.

Sunday, September 29:

The day began with Yale B division taking responsibility for the piling incident. It turns out, it was not the piling's fault. Racing was much the same today, except B division sailed on the outer course. Eighteen races were completed by 1pm. No protests or breakdowns occurred today. Congratulations to Yale who dominated the event.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
