Sunday, December 30:

Sunday's races began around 11:00am with cloudy skies and winds out of the north east with a 20 mph average, gusts to 24 mph, and a short 2ft - 3ft chop. Temperatures started off in the low 40s and ended up in the mid 50s. As the day progressed, the clouds dissipated and the wind and chop subsided. Nine schools participated. A and B divisions were raced together with 18 boats on the starting line. Courses were windward/leeward once around with the starting gate being closed. Race 8 was the last race of the day. It began around 3:00pm and ended with a dying breeze. At the end of the day Mass Maritime closely lead Michigan followed by Tulane.

Monday, December 31:

Monday's racing began at 10:20 with easterly winds averaging 7mph - 9mph under cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid 50s and a light chop. Wind picked up during the day and the RC was able to get off 8 more races. Both triangle and windward leeward courses were used. Races continued until 2:40 with the decision to head in after 16 races. Congratulations to Michigan for the win. Michigan was followed closely by Mass Maritime in 2nd with Tulane in 3rd.
