The USF Women's promotional fleet race regatta had 14 teams competing from 4 different schools. With an approaching cold front the decision was made to sail inside Bayboro Harbor where the deeper water would protect the masts in the event of turtle capsizes.
Four races, a combination of W4's and W5's, were sailed in a westerly at 11-15 knots. The squall line moved through during the fourth race bringing a drenching downpour. The fleet sailed in, had a brief break, and then went back out in gusty north winds 13-25 knots. Races 5 through 10 were also a combination of W4's and W5's, averaging 8-10 minutes in length.
Multiple DNS's and DNF's were recorded in the blustery conditions. Several protests were filed but withdrawn.
University of Hawaii sailors showed their dominance in the breeze, finishing 1st, 2nd, and 4th with Rollins squeezing into the 3rd.
Thank you to the competitors, coaches, and USF sailors for their assistance.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
