Day started with a 10:30 Report Time. As the fog burned off, teams hit water, for a 11:15 first start. Great breeze from the south filled the course with the race course right of the Fordham University Waterfront Center Pier. Some of the best spectating in college sailing. Races lasted 7-10 minutes. Stony Brook Athletes did a fantastic job running and scoring the races. Thank you. Lots of good development from all teams. RC was able to complete 43 races. One 8-Team complete round robin, through flight 6 of Round 2. Plan is to complete Round to then enter into a final Round 3.
WAC Leads the 2v2 event with an 11-1 record, followed closely behind by Fordham 1 and 2 with 10-1 and 8-3 records.
Day Two was met with lighter breeze out of the west. Fordham 1 and WAC battled it out in some intense races in rounds 1 and 2.
Due to cutoff time, round three was not able to be fully completed, only missing the final 2 races, but will still be scored as over 80% was completed.
Congrats to Fordham Rams for taking the Win in their home waters. As well as WAC and Fordham 2 for rounding out the Top 3. Thank you to SBU Sailing team for running a great event! And thank you to all Fordham Rams for supporting the event. We will see you next weekend for the WAC Team Race at Fordham!
