The Thames river provided some fun and challenging conditions on day 1 of J70 Invite #2. The breeze swung in big shifts from WNW to N with wind ranging between 5-25 knots. Sailors also battled a strong ebb tide with shifting tide-lines and eddies throughout the day. Racing is really tight throughout the pack with USF leading the day just 1 point ahead of KP.
Day 2 of CGA's 2nd J70 invite began with a very shifty SSW 6-12 knot breeze which built to 8 to 23 knots. The Thames provided a moderate ebb tide which competitors handled well with very few over-early's in the fair tide. Racing was tight throughout the 6 races sailed today with CGA continuing their strong finish to day 1 with conservative starting and great management of the puffy and shifty conditions. The Bears climbed their way to first place, with KP Mariners securing 2nd overall with a very strong final set, and the USF Bulls finishing 3rd with a great performance throughout the event.
