For the Tennessee Alabama Georgia Trophy, teams gathered at Concord Yacht Club on Fort Loudon Lake to see light wind and glassy water. Following a quick competitors meeting at 9:20, teams began to rig, and a 10-12 mph breeze filled in out of the Southwest. From the start, the Tennessee Volunteers and Vanderbilt Commodores were battling it out in A-Division with some tight racing! Occasional puffs clocking 15 mph, and a strong fleet made for lively racing as the day carried on! After 2 final races in A-Division, the decision was made to call the racing for the day. Congratulations to the home team, Tennessee Volunteers and Tennessee Smokies for taking first and third place, and to the Vanderbilt Commodores for taking second place in the regatta. Also, congratulations to the University of Alabama for sailing their first regatta in SAISA! No breakdowns were experienced and no protests filed. Thanks to all of our volunteers, especially Jeff Gamey our PRO, and Troy Tolan our magnanimous coach, who helped make this regatta a success!
