The day began with an unusual calm wind and very shift direction. The RC postponed at the start line in the bay until the wind filled at 6kts from the SSE. Racing began at 1103. Shifting wind to E and back to ESE kept markset boat busy squaring the course after every race in building wind. By Race 4 the wind settled in it's usual SE seabreeze groove at 12 kts, building to 18 kts by the 8th race. Total of 8 races run with a lunch break from 1315-1345. Great conditions and a square course kept the head to head competition close.
Sunday began with 15 kts SE at the 1000 start time, but a few minor boat issues and several capsizes in the 4 ft. waves held the start back to 1100. By the end of the race the wind was 18 kts and minor injuries on both teams stopped the action for the day. The Rough and Rowdy lived up to its name, but the sailors had a blast and are looking forward to sailing in Corpus Christi bay again.
