NEISA Spring Women's Fleet Race Championship

Summary

Saturday, April 19:

There was great anticipation for the notorious YCYC southerly forecast. However, it was just not meant to be. Instead of 15-20 knots from the SW, the RC struggled to get off three races in each fleet on Saturday. Indirection varied from the south to the west/southwest, varying from 0-10 knots. Two races were abandoned due to light and variable breeze. All courts were w-4's.

Sunday, April 20:

Quite the opposite forecast today! Brisk Northerly met A division for their first race (4A) of the day. 15-20+ knots. Course was a w-3. Quite the kerfuffle at the finish as many boats didn't understand the course and/or the finish line.

The RC was just about to start the B Division sequence when a massive puff wiped out almost a quarter of the fleet. It was decided to send B Division in until the breeze let up. That never happened and the last A div race was erased and teams were sent home around 2PM.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
