2025 J70 Invite #2

J70 Invite #2 Saturday was raced in a shifty and puffy ESE breeze ranging from 5 to 17 knots throughout the day. Racing began with a light ebb tide, followed by a moderate flood in the middle of the Thames with ebb on the east and west sides of the river. The shifty wind conditions became even more funky after some near white out raining in the afternoon. CGA Bears 1, CGA Bears 2 and the Mass Maritime Buccaneers hold the top three spots going into day two with racing tight throughout the scoreboard.

Day two saw the Thames river providing a 3 to 8 knot Northerly mostly raced in a strong ebb tide. Three races were sailed making for 12 total for the regatta. CGA Bears 1 continued to dominate with three bullets in a row making for 9 firsts for the event. CGA Bears 2 and the Mass Maritime Buccaneers traded blows over the final three races, ending tied for 2nd with Bears 2 winning the tie breaker. Congrats to all teams for a great event!
