After a later than anticipated start (thanks wind), the competitors headed out around 5pm to get an A division set in around 5pm in a light 5 knot breeze. The PRO changed the start time to 0900 first warning on Sunday to maximize sailing.
With an early start we were able to get B division racing at 0903 in a shifty NNE breeze of 6-8 knots. We completed 7 races for B division and 5 for A division totaling 7 for each fleet. As the breeze shifted further east the land got hotter and the racing got harder with the points getting really close in the middle of the fleet. Three protests were filed with two resulting in DSQs.
Congratulations to College of Charleston, JU, USF, Florida State and University of Miami for clenching births to semi finals.
