Mustang Open Varsity

Summary

Saturday, March 2:

This weekend the Cal Poly Sailing Team and the Morro Bay Yacht Club hosted the Mustang Open Regatta! There were 13 teams in attendance, split in two fleets, for a total of 41 boats. In addition to racing, the Cal Poly team also hosted a pasta dinner and a pancake breakfast for the visiting teams. Saturday was a wet and windy day with on and off rain, 14-20 knots of wind, a lot of current. Sunday brought some sunshine, but had less wind. We ran 24 races over the weekend and fun was had by all. In the varsity fleet, UC Berkeley, CSU Long Beach, and UC Santa Barbara were the top 3 finishers and in the junior varsity fleet UC Berkeley and UCLA were the top 2 finishers.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
