2019 Buckeye Interconference

Summary

Saturday, April 6:

Saturday at Hoover sailing club was marked by beautiful warm weather, but no wind. For all of the morning, and much of the afternoon, the reservoir was as smooth as glass. In the afternoon, a brief surge of breeze allowed for one complete race to be held.

Tomorrow's forecast calls for significant wind, and races will commence with race '2A'. All of the teams look forward to heavier wind and faster races!

Sunday, April 7:

Today was a picturesque sailing day at Hoover Sailing Club. A warm, consistent, and substantial breeze allowed for the completion of 7 races in under 3 hours, although a time constraint brought racing to a close around mid-day. After 2 complete rotations of sailing, the Syracuse Orange emerged victorious by a wide margin, followed by the Illinois Illini (2nd) and the Virginia Tech Hokies (3rd). All teams enjoyed the wonderful weather and had a great time!

A special thanks to the volunteer race committee, PRO, and especially the 3 US Sailing judges that allowed this interconference regatta to happen!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
