Gill Coed National Championships

Summary

Thursday, May 31:

Racing started at 10am in 5-10 knots from the southwest. It steadily built throughout the day with the final races sailed in 9-15 knots from the south. In all, 12 races were completed in each division.

One scoring inquiry was filed, closed, reopened and ultimately race 10A was rescored by the race committee. 3 protests were filed. Yale was DSQ from Race 7A. Charleston and Yale were both DSQ from Race 7B. The final protest was disallowed.

First start remains the same for tomorrow

Friday, June 1:

Wind was light and variable. 5-8 knots from the south went 90 degrees right to the west. This died and it filled from the southwest. And then the northwest. And then it died. We went swimming during the delay. It was hot.

MIT is your 2018 Coed National Champions with an impressive win margin and having low point in each division.

Thank you Hall of Famer Gary Bodie for being PRO, our judge team who was stellar, and all the monarch sailors for their support.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
