Saturday, April 22:

A consistent breeze of 8 to 10 knots out of the north/northeast with gusts up to 14. The first race started at 9:38AM with the first finish 17 minutes later. All teams maintained their boats well in the wind resulting in no capsizes. Around 5PM 4 rotations had been completed and racing was called for the day. One protest was heard and thrown out. Leading the regatta at the end of day one are the Villanova Wildcats.

Attention Competitors** Sunday's skippers meeting has been moved from 10AM to 9AM to compensate for the predicted decrease in wind throughout the afternoon.

Sunday, April 23:

The sailors were greeted with a north/northeast breeze holding a consistent 5-7 knots with gusts up to 13. The first start was at 9:45AM with the first finish 20 minutes later. The wind cut out after start 11A and the race was abandoned 10 minutes later. Luckily by 1PM (10 minutes following the abandonment) the race was restarted and completed within a reasonable time. Unfortunately, on the first leg of the race the jib of boat 3 (currently sailed by the University of Delaware) collapsed. After an on land assessment boat number 3 was retired for the day (due to safety concerns) resulting in redress results for races 11 and 12 in both 'A' and 'B' fleets for the University of Delaware. Prior to races 11 and 12 'B' the wind clocked approx. 180 degrees leading to a full course reset. 6 of the 7 rotations of the regatta were completed. Congratulations to the top teams:

1. Villanova wildcats

2. University of Maryland terps

3. Ocean County College vikings

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
