For the 2016 Oriental SailPack Invitational regatta sailors from five universities came together to compete on the Neuse River at the Oriental Waterfront. Saturday morning brought temperatures in the mid 70s and 7-10 knots of breeze. Races were sailed as a combined fleet, and six races were completed before lunch. As the lunch break approached, the wind started to fade. After lunch, conditions were light and variable. After a delay, just one race was completed before the regatta was called.
Congratulations to the home team NC State Red Terror on the regatta win and compliments to each team for delivering a competitive performance throughout the regatta. Many thanks to the race committee, Bow-to-Stern Boating Center, and numerous volunteers who helped put on this event in its second year. A special thank you to our friends in Oriental, the Sailing Capital of North Carolina, who provided food, housing, and hospitality to all visiting sailors.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
