North Spring Qualifier

Summary

Saturday, April 12:

Sailors arrived to a light SW breeze and following the skippers meeting were headed out on the water. We were able to get in 2A and 1B race in the SW before it shut off and seemed to try to fill from the North. We waited around until about 3pm when the Northerly finally won the battle and filled in at about 7-10mph. It stuck around enough for us to complete the 2B race, another A set and another B set...4 races in each division for the day. Thank you to Colin Keil '15, Max Joh-Carnella '16, Duncan Howes '15 and Matt Schofield '17 for taking care of the RC work today.

Sunday, April 13:

Sailors arrived to a beautiful Southerly breeze around 8-12mph and racing got underway at 9:30am. The breeze was tricky today...puffy and shifty throughout the racing, and steadily building as the forecast predicted. Our max breeze was in the final race, 13B where we saw gusts over 20mph and quite a few capsizes. Great job by the RC led by Colin Keil '15 and Julie Barbera '17. Also thank you to Alex Gatto '15, Claire Riedman '16, Greg Reppucci '15, Alex Woloshyn '17, Ryan Mongomery '16, Wes Britton '17 and Duncan Howes '15 for their work on the water.

Congratulations to Kings Point, Cornell, Buffalo, Columbia, and Penn State for qualifying for the Amerca Trophy in a couple weeks.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
