Sailors showed up to winds of 20 mph and gusts of 25 mph. Consistently throughout the day, it continued to build with gusts around 35 mph. Needless to say, no races were started, but the sailors got a good chalk talk with Minnesota coach, Cappy Capper. The sailors were engaged in the conversation while they discussed tactics, rules, and safety. There is a good forecast for tomorrow and we are excited to get off some good racing!
Today saw with it good breeze out of the Northeast, blowing anywhere from 3-12 mph with some gusts at 18 mph. It was sunny on Wayzata bay when the sailors got ready to get out on the water. The teams were able to get in 2 and 1/2 rotations with Minnesota Gophers Gold coming out on top. With a lot of the teams in attendance being done with finals, the kids were able have a lot of fun in between the racing! We were lucky it's finally beginning to looks like spring in Minnesota!!!
