Captain Prosser Trophy

22 races were completed. Sailors were greeted by a North wind at 12 knots. 3 races were sailed before the wind died. The wind continued to fill and die and the remaining 19 races were sailed in east to south winds. Thank you to all the HWS Sailors who helped run the event. Sailors arrived to vastly different conditions from Saturday. South winds at 22-28 knots kept sailors off the water until 12:30pm. At 12;30 racing began in 17-22 knots out of the south. The wind slowly shifted to the NW throughout the day and kept the HWS Sailors on race committee busy keeping the course square. 40 races were sailed, completing both round robins and a final four. Congrats to Georgetown for winning the 2013 Prosser and St Mary's and Navy for qualifying. Special thanks to the umpires; Rob Overton* Chump, Doc Sullivan, David Pelling, Austin Kana, John Moulthrup, Larry Sill, Philip Alley, Katie Nicoll, who were on the water until 7:45pm keeping the races fair.
