The University of Texas Sailing Team would like to thank everyone who came out to Qualifier 1 this year. Saturday’s racing began around 10:00 with 9 boats on the line. The wind was around 10-15 knots out of the northeast with gusts up to 25 knots when racing began. The wind calmed down throughout the day, and racing ended around 4:30. Race committee ran a windward leeward course, and 8 races in A division and 8 races in B division were completed. At the end of the day, no protests were filed. Special thanks to our PRO, Cait Taylor, and to Hazel Mahony for helping out with mark set. Thanks to everyone on the UT Sailing Team for helping out, and thanks to Austin Yacht Club for hosting the regatta. Congratulations to Tulane for their win!
