We had a 4-9 knots NNW breeze for the first A & B sets with a strong flood tide. The racecourse was set between the JI & W. Ashley Connectors with minimal boat traffic due to the rainy forecast. The ebb tide began towards the end of the 2nd A set, making things difficult. The breeze also backed off to 3-4 knots, but the 2nd A set was completed with a 4th race, with the hopes of getting a 4 race set in with B Division. The course was moved south of the JI Connector, with hopes of more breeze and a bit of current relief. Neither were the case and two frustrating races were completed in B Division before we had to call it a day. Congratulations to Clemson on the win and to NC State (2nd) & Wake Forest (3rd) rounding out the podium. Also, thank you to Charleston Community Sailing & Joel Bays for hosting.
