Richard Ross at Courageous

Summary

Saturday, October 5:

Richard B. Ross College Bowl, Courageous Sailing, 10/5/2024 After being rained out two weeks ago, the weather was absolutely perfect for the makeup day of the Richard B. Ross College Bowl, hosted by Courageous Sailing. Fourteen teams from five different schools competed in Rhodes 19’s for five races on Boston’s inner harbor. With NW winds at 5-10 knots, teams were challenged to stay in the shifty breeze and keep the boats moving. BU and Brown traded 1st place finishes all day long, with Brown grabbing two and BU three, but it was Brown #3 who finished in first place on the day. Many thanks to all the teams for attending on the makeup day and for keeping this great tradition going in honor of a beloved local sailor.

UMass Amherst was a no-show.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
