The 26th Mrs. Hurst Bowl

Summary

Saturday, September 21:

This regatta honors long-time Dartmouth Sailing supporter and general matriarch Christina Hurst. It is hard to find someone who loved Dartmouth Sailing, or college sailing in general, than Chris. If you have read this far, please go check out the pdf on the notice board to learn more about Chris and her contribution to Dartmouth Sailing.

A tricky start to Saturday, with breeze coming out of the East at 2-6 kts and throughout a range of some 120 degrees. It eventually settled into an easterly over the boathouse that trended right throughout the day until we had a nice SE flowing down the lake.

PRO Rob Dresser and assistant Ryan Kasianuk kept racing running smoothly, and Judges Will Price, Emma Janson V'19, and Taylor Eastman D'24 kept it honest on and off the water, ruling in 1 protest that resulted in a DSQ.

John Brady was on hand to help with Race Committee, but once we switched to W4s John drove the photo boat for Alan Ouellette, who took a ton of photos. You can find them here: https://www.alanouellette.photography/sailing

Racing will begin around 10:10 tomorrow with Race 6A.

Sunday, September 22:

Great day of racing. Shifty southerly ended with a significant amount of racing!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
