The Thames River provided great conditions for the Admiral Pine Trophy with a 5-8 knot southerly filling in right at 1100 and minimal ebb current throughout the day. The breeze swung SW during the first 6 races and finished in a tricky southeasterly during the final two races. Competition is extremely tight between the top 6 boats with the Roger Williams Hawks currently in the lead with 27 points, Yale in second with 31 points, Brown and Boston College tied for third with 35 points and CGA Bears 1 and Harvard right on their heels.
Sunday's racing began in a strong Northerly breeze with teams briefly enjoying some planing conditions on the downwind. The Wind decreased throughout the day and shifted to a very tricky westerly with large shifts between SW and NW. Yale found their stride today and posted an impressive 1,3,2,3 score line despite the tricky conditions leading them to first place. The Roger Williams Hawks, Brown Bears, and Boston College Eagles rounded out the top 4. Congrats to all teams for some impressive sailing and tight competition.
