Sailors arrived to a windless and damp Port Jefferson Harbor. We postponed onshore until 12:30 when a NNE breeze began to fill. Intermittent rain turned into steadier showers as the afternoon went on and the breeze came in fits and starts, but we were able complete 5 races before the wind died again and everyone was pretty damp and chilly. We will finished the remaining 3 races tomorrow in what looks to be much better breeze.
Much different conditions today. Mix of sun and clouds and a brisk northerly breeze steady in the mid teens with gusts low to mid 20’s. Three more races complete with a few capsizes. Congratulations to the Kings Point Mariners for the victory! Thank you to all the teams for coming to sail this weekend. Thank you to all the SBU Sailing team members for helping run the races and thank you as always to the Port Jefferson Yacht Club for hosting us.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
