The second ever Hoosier Mama regatta was hosted out of Lake Monroe Sailing Association (LMSA) on Lake Monroe in Bloomington, IN. Five teams competed (Michigan State, Purdue, Notre Dame, St Mary's, and IU). Due to a last minute drop-out, a second IU team was created to fill the sixth berth which would otherwise have gone empty.
We started with light winds (3-4 kn) from SSW, leading to postponement at around 1100 EST. Moderate winds (12-14 kn) appeared at around 1300, leading to a day of fantastic sailing and competition, shifting from SSW to SSE. Lunch and dinner were prepared by the hosts and made available to teams in an large, outdoor area.
A special Thank You goes to Walter Johnson, the General Manager at LMSA, for his procurement of food and beverages, and Andrew "Coop" Cooper, for manning the safety boat. We would also like to thank Marty Schilke, our Principal Race Officer for the event, and his wife Kim Schilke, who assisted with keeping scores.

Moderate winds (13-15 kn) granted us another day of fantastic sailing and competition, shifting from SSW to SSE. No meals were provided to teams on this final day of racing as everyone was sent home ASAP and trusted to get lunch on their own.
