Today was the first day of the MCSA singlehanded championships. These races determined who goes to the nationals, and were sailed in lasers by the men and radials by the women. Races were run by PRO Amy Kehoe and were judged by Betsy, Geoff, and Denis. We had beautiful weather with light clouds and temperatures in the high 70's. A W4 course was run throughout the day as we got off 4 races before the wind died and we called boats in at a docking time of 15:30. Throughout the regatta the was a south easterly to easterly winds between 5-7kts before they died down in the afternoons.
Today we had much more steady, but lighter, wind. It ranged from 3-7kts and swung from NE-NW. It was another beautiful day with scattered clouds and temperatures in the high 70's. There was a big lull in the wind mid day, but it picked back up and we were able to close out the day with another six races for a total of 10 races for each regatta. Scores can be found online.
The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
