Day 1 at the Laser North started with an easterly at 8-10knots with gusts a bit higher. It was a very shifty offshore wind and the regatta crew did a nice job setting square courses. We sailed W-4's with a gate and offset. After a lunch break the wind only stayed around for 1 race. We were very close to finishing race 8 and then the rain came and killed the breeze so it was abandoned. We stayed onshore under postponement for an hour and 45 minutes but it was clear that the wind wasn't filling in. Two breakdowns were granted for a broken universal and a top section. We called the regatta at 1645 and all the sailors seemed pleased. Tomorrow should bring some better breeze and great racing to wrap up the Laser North quals.
The top 6 move onto the Carl Van Duyne at Navy on 10/11-12/2014 to qualify for ICSA Single-handed Nationals.

Day 2 at the Laser North was sailed in a NNE breeze at 8-13knots. As the day went on the NNE died to almost nothing. We sailed W-4s all weekend and used the I-flag for all starts to keep the generals to a minimum. No lunch break today meant a long day on the water. We finished with 15 races before the wind died and called the regatta at 1445.
Congrats to the top 6 for moving onto the Carl Van Duyne at Navy on 10/11-12/2014 to qualify for ICSA Single-handed Nationals.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
