Wisco Women's

Summary

Saturday, October 19:

At the first day of Wisco Women's, we had 6 A races and 4 B races. The wind was 10-14 knots out of the south west, but very shifty and puffy. The weather was frigid in the upper 40s all day. The final B set was cancelled due to an approaching storm and 20+ knot sustained winds. At the end of the day, Wisco was in 1st and 2nd, with Iowa and Ohio State close behind, within just a few points.

Sunday, October 20:

Sunday brought another good day of racing on Lake Mendota. We finished the rotation and got 8 races in each division for the weekend. The day was temporarily postponed due to lack of wind, but once it filled in, it blew out of the south at 4 knots, building to 8 knots and shifting to the southeast throughout the races. We also got a little rain, but racing continued through it. It was another cold day in the mid-40s. There were no protests filed during the regatta. At the end of racing, Wisconsin Badgers and Wisconsin Badgers 1 took first and second respectively with Iowa taking third place.

Special Thanks to Natalie Sinn for helping as judge this weekend, and to all the Wisconsin sailors that helped out at the regatta.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
