Queen's Open

Summary

Saturday, October 5:

The day started overcast and fairly cold, with a light breeze from the east. As the day progressed the clouds cleared and it got warmer. The wind consistently built throughout the day up to about 12 knots. The day ended with U. Rochester in first, Webb Institute in second and Queen's U. in third. One protest and one redress were filed. The protest was declined and the redress was approved.

Sunday, October 6:

The second day of the Queen's Open started with decent breeze around 8kts for the first rotation. Heavy rain accompanied by fog rolled in and slowed boat rotations but the racing continued throughout the day. The Webb Clippers stayed consistent all day and maintained their lead finishing the regatta with 65 points, followed by U. Rochester and Queen's with 79 and 84 points, respectively.

Queen's would like to thank the Colleges who attended and endured through the rain on Sunday. We would also like to send a big thanks to PRO Ross Cameron and the Safety team led by Mark Dams.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
