Peak Foliage Invitational

Summary

Saturday, October 26:

The Wildcats arrived early this morning to prepre the venue and encountered the first frost of the season leading to a slip and slide on the docks.

The day began with a light 5-8 breeze with typical shifty Mendums conditions. Breeze picked up by noon to 12-15mph and gusts as high as 20mph were recorded. Sailors managed well with only a couple of capsizes in cold water and 40 degree temps.

Five races were sailed in each division with many close finishes. Tufts A division won every race!

Williams dropped early this morning and Brandeis was a no show. Bates Tomcats only had a B division.

Thanks to David and Erin who ran the mark boat ferried the Tufts photographer around (look for pictures on the NEISA Facebook site), Thanks also to Chelsea and Taylor for mark boat assist. A special thanks to Lizzie and Meg who scored, pulled the anchor in multiple RC boat moves and held flags up when needed.

RP information will be added tomorrow.

Congratulations to Tufts who won the Peak Foliage with an impressive 16 points.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
