Central Series 4

Summary

Saturday, October 5:

With first race set for 10:30am, sailors arrived to a beautiful day on Mystic Lake. Ken Legler kicked the regatta off with the skippers meeting. Race Committee noted the lack of wind and postponed the first race until 11:30am. A lunch break was officially declared at noon and racing called at 1:00pm with no races completed.

Report time set for 9:00am Sunday with hopes of getting racing started early.

Thank you to everybody for showing up in good spirits and keeping them up with glass on the lake.

Sunday, October 6:

Sailors showed up at 9:00am ready to race. Racing began at 10:00am in a light rain. Forecast was for a building breeze and started off around 5 knots. Breeze topped out around 8 knots and died as it started raining at 12:30pm. 4 races were completed in light breeze, which shifted right as the morning wore on. Race Committee took advantage of the North-Northeast direction and set a longer course up the length of Mystic Lake. All races were W4s.

Congratulations to the Tufts Jumbos for winning, well done at being consistently in the top 10.

Thank you to recent Tufts grads, Will Pelleteri and Mackenzie Loy, for being a dynamic duo of a Race Committee, running the regatta in less than ideal conditions.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
