Timme's Tune-Up

Summary

Saturday, November 10:

Sailors arrived to South Beach at the Northwestern University Sailing Center early Saturday to sun and fair breeze. First warning sounded at 0930 and a full rotation was sailed by 1130. After oscillating shifts turned into a major down cycle and storm, lunch arrived. Lightning subsequently put racing on postponement for 2 hours. A and B divisions went out for two sets before sundown, closer to 0430, in 70 degree weather with gusts upwards of 20 knots. Rain brought a full rainbow over downtown Evanston before last light. The judges heard one breakdown from Race 3B and awarded redress.

Sunday, November 11:

A 0900 report time saw gusts in excess of 25 knots building into the high 30s by 11. The regatta was called at 0930, scores finalized, and awards given. A special thanks goes to our DRO, Rick Lillie, of Chicago Yacht Club, PRO Nancy Glover, CYC, Chief Judge Betsy Altman, and Sealegs. The Northwestern University Sailing Team would also like to thank the MCSA member schools in attendance, boat house staff, Tadgh Martin and all volunteers who showed up to the regatta.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
