McGill Cup

Summary

Saturday, October 13:

The annual McGill Cup was hosted once again at the Royal St-Lawrence Yacht Club on October 13-14. Four schools from Canada and four from the United States, from across NEISA, MAISA, and CICSA, competed on the cold St-Lawrence river. Saturday saw great wind from the south-west, ranging from 8-18 kts. 3 full rotations were raced, with Tufts establishing an early lead and a close fought battle between several schools for the next spots. Sunday saw little-to-no wind, and after several hours of waiting the regatta was called on the first day's results alone. Tufts won the Cup, with Middlebury and Queens finishing in second and third places respectively.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
