Light winds and intermittent showers plagued day 1's racing at the PCC's. Sailors arrived to 12-14kts and a large swell left over the from previous nights storm however as the day went on the wind and swell both died out (though not at the same rate making for some seasick sailors and RC). Several 180 degree wind shifts finally called the end after 3 races in all divisions.
The laser results are not showing up due to the lack of sail number/team information. We hope to have that updated after Sunday's report time.
Racing was postponed until noon while the fleet waited for the wind to fill in. Eventually the RC was able to set a course and complete 8 races across the board.
Thank you to the UCSB team for hosting the event and running races, UCSB coach Brad Schaupeter for being PRO, CSUMB coach Frank Degnan for assisting on RC.
The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
