Sailors were sent out to a modified Gold Cup course with wind in the low 20's, gusting to mid/high 30's. After considerable fight from the sailors, only a fraction of the fleet was able to keep control consistently, so everyone was sent to shore for postponement. When the wind showed no signs of lessening at 3pm, racing was called for the day.
Sailors started early on a windward leeward course with an offset and gate. The wind was much lighter than yesterday and 7 races were completed before the time limit. Many thanks to our great race committee for dealing with the wildly shifty conditions and keeping our courses square throughout the day.
Congratulations to Lauren Knoles from Michigan State, who finished with straight bullets, and Ellen Duboisof Michigan for qualifying for nationals in Chicago 3 weeks from now!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
