Heavy rain and no wind forced a postponement and kept the CGA J/70 fleet ashore during the morning. At 1400 the southerly filled in and eventually built to 12 knots by the end of the day. To accommodate the shortened schedule, all eight races were sailed on W4 courses with an average race duration of 18 minutes. Racing was very close with frequent lead changes and tight mark roundings. Congratulations to Brown and many thanks to all competitors for clean racing and the keeping the boats in great shape throughout the day.
