Tom Curtis Memorial Regatta

Summary

Saturday, September 30:

Great conditions on the Potomac for Day 1 of the Tom Curtis Memorial Regatta. Six races were sailed at Hains Point with winds 18-22mph from the NW with gusts over 30mph. The racing was close and competitive in 18 FJ's and there were no capsizes or breakdowns or protests.

Sunday, October 1:

A light and dying NE winds greeted the sailors on arrival at the Washington Sailing Marina. 20 z420's were towed up to Hains Point. One race was sailed in a shifty and spotty NE wind of 3-8mph. A few other races were attempted but the wind was too light and racing was called for the day.
