Sailors were greeted on Saturday morning with approximately 5 knots of breeze from the south and a lineup of 22 boats for this combined NWISA/NWICSA event. The pressure was highly variable throughout the day, with frequent, large shifts in both speed and direction keeping all competitors on their toes. Later in the day, the breeze increased and clocked completely to the north, bringing heavy rain along with it before dying down again. The race committee quickly adjusted the course, and was able to complete a total of 4 races.
Sunday's conditions proved even less predictable than Saturday's. The morning began with very light breeze from the north, varying between 2 and 4 kts. 2 races were abandoned as the wind came in directly from the east mid-race. Despite the puffy and shifty conditions, another 2 races were successfully completed.
